Ampex makes it possible to realize this goal with the DIS 120i recorder. the DIS 120 recorder is based on the data D-2 standard and are tape-format compatible with the Ampex DST mass storage computer tape drives and cartridge libraries. In addition, the DIS 122i recorder is interface compatible with the Ampex DCRsi ruggedized family of recorders providing a migration path for current DCRsi users.
